The Day Of The Mozzies metal print by Alex Mortensen.   Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

I had been framing for my wife, Ekaterina Mortensen, and then at the start of 2008 decided I should do some paintings to put in the frames myself. Having told Katya for years that if ever I paint I would paint with a large brush on large canvases, I started with small ones - miniatures. My earliest miniatures picked up a Highly Commended in the Royal National Canberra Art Show in 2008, followed by a Second Prize (miniatures) in 2009, 2nd Prize in Goulburn Workers Club Annual Art Prize acrylics section in 2024. I have had works hanging at The Artists Shed in Queanbeyan, the TAP Gallery in Darlinghurst, Sydney - including a joint exhibition with my wife - and the Rotary Camberwell Exhibition in Melbourne, Royal Canberra Show, Sydney...
