This is one of a series of photos I took of a Tiger snake eating a rabbit. They are supposed to eat things like frogs and mice. Tiger snakes are aggressive, highly venomous and one of the most deadly snakes in Australia. We often see them on our property and near the house from early spring through to late autumn. This photo is in early spring.
The photo was taken on my Fuji FinepixS 14 megapixel camera in natural light. I have not cropped the photos. Please note that the camera was hand-held and NOT on a tripod because I wouldnt set up a tripod close to the snake so the image will not be as sharp as if on a tripod.
The photos are 3072 x 2304 pixels and are all either 3.6 MB or 3.7MB.

I have had works hanging at The Artists Shed in Queanbeyan, the TAP Gallery in Darlinghurst, Sydney - including a joint exhibition with my wife - and the Rotary Camberwell Exhibition in Melbourne, Royal Canberra Show, Sydney...
